pagerank..of some sites…

pagerank

PageRank is an algorithm developed by Larry Page (co-founder of Google) to set importance to a web page on the internet. Page Rank is used in displaying search results and the PageRank algorithm helps in faster and accurate search. On a scale of 1 to 10, higher the PageRank, higher is the importance of the page. I tried looking for the PageRank for few sites (okay the last one one is no where closer in competition with the rest..it was just for curiosity)-

reuters.com has a page rank of 8 out of 10…

bloomberg.com has a page rank of 8 out of 10…

fb has a page rank of 9 out of 10…

twitter with a page rank of 9 out of 10..

Times of India with a page rank of 5 out 10..

The Hindu (beta site) with a page rank of 4 out of 10 and the old site with a page rank of 5 out of 10..

while I did try to find the page rank of my blog, not bad…it stands at 3 out of 10…

some snapshots for those who like proofs :)
